Mt. Hope High School has announced its Students of the Month for December: Tyler Sponseller and Hannah Levis. Both were nominated for the honor by their teachers.
"Tyler refuses to take the easy way out and is constantly checking with his teachers for feedback on his work, meeting with them before and after school, and using his free time in school wisely," one of Tyler's teachers wrote in her nominations form. "The growth in just this last year has been tremendous! Tyler has worked so hard to improve himself as a student here at Mt. Hope."
Hannah received similar accolades from her teachers. In their nomination forms they noted that Hannah is an amazing, responsible student who works hard to keep u with her studies.
"Hannah is a student whom I greatly admire for her commitment to her academic improvement," one teacher wrote. "Hannah perseveres and has incredible integrity. She takes pride in her work, adheres to due dates, demonstrates superb effort, revises based on teacher feedback, and even contacts teachers to request work if she will be absent. In addition, Hannah is extremely respectful to both her peers and her teachers. She is incredibly kind and the epitome of a person with 'good character.'"
Both students will receive a $75 check from the Bristol County Lodge of Elks, for their achievement.
