Monday, July 17
A Buttonwood Street resident reported suspicious activity at 1:01 p.m.
Police checked on a Wood Street resident who believed there was someone in their attic. Police confirmed nobody was up there.
Police dispersed several juveniles who were reportedly loitering behind Colt School at 8:06 p.m. They picked up some trash before departing.
A vehicle fire was reported on Metacom Avenue at 8:29 p.m. Bristol fire personnel extinguished it.
Tuesday, July 18
Kerrianne Bettencourt, 45, of 15 Massasoit Ave., Apt. #17, Bristol, was arrested near Hope Street and Donna Ct. at 12:26 a.m. She was charged with a Superior Court bench warrant.
Police assisted an elderly resident of Wood Street who had become locked out of their home at 7:51 p.m.
Wednesday, July 19
Police looked for a woman near Wilson and Franklin Streets who was reportedly knocking on doors at 12:03 a.m.
Benches on the Town Common were reported to have been vandalized at 8:32 a.m.
Police checked on a tent in a wooded area near Naomi Street and Dixon Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Nobody was at the location at the time.
A group of juveniles were reportedly kicking doors near Mt. Hope Avenue and Wood Street at 1:22 p.m. The kids and their parents were advised.
A post office box at Bay View Avenue and Wood Street was reportedly marked with graffiti at 5:29 p.m.
Thursday, July 20
Police intervened in a situation at the Town Common involving a couple of juveniles harassing a woman at 12:21 a.m.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported someone might be trying to steal their car’s catalytic converter from their driveway at 2:08 a.m. Police found the vehicle in tact.
A sick or possibly injured skunk on Rosita Avenue was reported at 7:04 a.m. but wasn’t located. At 8:30 a.m. the animal was reported to be deceased in the front yard of a house on the same street.
A San Jose Drive resident requested assistance at 11:45 a.m. for a bird that had become trapped in their bird feeder.
Fraud involving the use of a person’s name to solicit work was reported on Metacom Avenue at 12:50 p.m.
Friday, July 21
Police dispersed two juveniles who were reportedly fighting at the Colt Andrews playground at 11:04 a.m. The two were apparently friends and apologized to one another.
Saturday, July 22
A person walking across the Mt. Hope Bridge at 12:44 a.m. was safely transported to the Bristol side.
A resident of Waterman Street reported that a man was knocking on her door at 1:25 a.m. Despite their insistence not to chase after the man, the reporting party went out looking for him.
A bicycle was reported stolen near Hope and State Streets at 12:29 p.m.
Police advised a Fernwood Road resident at 8:55 p.m. following a complaint about fireworks.
Sunday, July 23
Police dispersed someone from the State Street Dock at 1:16 a.m.
DEM, the state fire marshal, and Bristol fire volunteers responded to a boat fire on the Mt. Hope boat ramp at 11:26 a.m.
Maria Aubry, 52, of 94 Broad St., Fall River, Mass., was arrested following a fight at Thames Waterside Bar & Grill at 6:28 p.m. She was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and was later released.
