Steven J. Cabral, 72, Bristol

Steven J. Cabral, 72, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Steven was born on Jan. 21, 1950, to the late Antonio and Bertha (Cabral) Cabral in Fall River, Mass. He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s School as well as Bristol High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church.

He is survived by his brothers, Anthony P. Cabral (JoAnn) of Warren, R.I. and John F. Cabral of Carlsbad, Calif. He also leaves behind his nieces Caroline Hughes, Catherine Confarotta, and Alexandra Marinelli; nephews Christopher Cabral and Jonathan Cabral; and grand nieces Emily, Kayla, Sarah and Sophia.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Clark and Dr. Paul Busee at Mass General Hospital; Dr. Eric Holbrook at Mass Eye and Ear; Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice and Charlton Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for the care they gave Steven.

His funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
