Mrs. Mary (Lepre) Castigliego, age 99, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Cosmo Castigliego. They were happily married for 65 years.

Born and raised in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Natale and Teresa (Guida) Lepre. She was a resident of Bristol for 72 years, moving to Bristol upon her marriage. Mary loved to cook her delicious Italian food and seafood specialties, especially during the holidays. Every event was an adventure, with enough food for guests to take home. Being a stay home mother, her life revolved around her cherished family.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Louise Stolasz (Ted), Lorraine Lucas (Mike), Paul Castigliego (the late Linda) and Karen Terra (Joseph); nine grandchildren, Jeff Stolasz (Melissa), Melissa O’Connell, Beth Poland (Rod), Paul Castigliego, Jr. (Lauren), Kim Castigliego-Butera (Dave), Erin McKenna, Kyle Terra, Brad Terra (Justine) and Brittany Terra; and 14 great-grandchildren and her dear sister, Madeline Apricerno of Cranston.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Rudolph, Orlando and Michael Lepre.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, 1081 Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Bay Food Pantry, 532 Wood St., Bristol, RI  02809 or online at www.eastbayfoodpantry.org.
