The world lost a great man on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. Mark (Marky) A. Perry, 59, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lynn R. (David) Perry.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Arthur E. and Rita (Picone) Perry. Mark was the brother of Alan Perry, Robert Perry and Brian Perry. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Mark touched everyone he met in one way or another. He was a true friend, a brother, an uncle, a Godfather, and a wonderful husband. Even though life didn’t deal him the best of hands with health issues, he endured, never complained, and always had a smile, earning him the nickname of “Mr. Sunshine.”
He was a source of never-ending laughs, love, pranks, and kind words. He had a way of always knowing the right words to say, and without fail he could break the tension in a room with a quick-witted joke. He was, and is, so incredibly loved by everyone in his life.
Those who knew him know what a great loss this is. Our hearts are broken but we are thankful for the fifty-nine years we were able to spend with him. They say time heals all pain, but in this case, there will never be enough time.
His funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Information and condolences, visit TheQuinnFuneralHome.com.
