Maria “Gloria” Coughlin, 81

Maria “Gloria” Coughlin, 81, passed away with her children by her side on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019.
Gloria was the daughter of the late Theodore and Priscilla Alves.

For many years Gloria was a Portuguese interpreter for the State of Rhode Island. In her down time, Gloria enjoyed watching television, reading books, and most importantly spending quality time with her family.

Gloria was reunited with her son, Bruce Coughlin. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Pauline Santos and Theodore Alves, Jr.

Gloria’s memory will live on through her children, Laurence “Larry” Coughlin, Paul Coughlin (Susan), Lynn Coughlin, and Lisa Oliveira (Angelo). Gloria also leaves behind three grandchildren, Matthew Coughlin, Megan Coughlin, and AJ Oliveira.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, R.I. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
