Louis G. Giusti, 96, of Bristol passed away at his home Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021. A lifelong Bristolian, he was the son of the late Louis and Julia (Galli) Giusti.

In November of 1943, Louis left school and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in both the European and Pacific theatres of World War II.

After serving our nation, Louis returned to Bristol and finished his education, graduating from Colt Memorial High School. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 37 years, working his way to General Foreman before retiring in 1978. Louis enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, fishing, and hunting. What he enjoyed most though was time with his family and friends.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the VFW Post 237 and the American Legion.

Louis is survived by his children, Louis G. Giusti and Jane A. Pimenta (Richard); his four grandchildren, Adam Pimenta (Kendra), Genna Giusti, Sarah Pimenta Rodrigues (Raoni), and Louis Giusti (Dionna); and his and his eight great-grandchildren.

Louis was pre-deceased by his parents, Louis and Julia, and his siblings, Joseph Giusti, Amelia Caratenuti, and Anita Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bristol Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol RI 02809
