Letter: This St. Mary’s parishioner supports Father Barry

Posted

As a long time communicant of St. Mary’s parish, I am truly disheartened at how quickly some members of our church community were to throw Father Barry Gamache under the bus regarding David Barboza.

As far as I’m concerned, Father Barry is one of the best things to happen to St. Mary’s in a long time. He brings a breath of fresh air, especially in his homilies.

If anyone is responsible for not firing David Barboza, it’s the Diocese. And for the anonymous parishioners in the parish who don’t know if they can now continue at St. Mary’s, I say “goodbye!”
