On behalf of the 2019 Bristol Christmas Festival Committee, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in this year’s events. You made our 32nd Bristol Christmas Festival a huge success and a wonderful celebration.
The Bristol Christmas Festival is an enormous undertaking. Most folks don’t know all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making these events possible each year. Planning begins in January, and committee members meet throughout the year to make the holidays extra special here in Bristol. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact us.
This year’s events included an entry in Bristol’s annual Fourth of July parade, the Bristol Snow Ball at Linden Place, Breakfast with Santa at Mt. Hope High School, a seniors holiday lights bus tour and reception at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Home, Christmas storytime at Rogers Free Library, and of course, our annual Tree Lighting and Grand Illumination at the Burnside Building.
Bristol’s Christmas Festival simply would not be possible without all the hard work and coordination done by volunteers and especially the amazing men and women of Bristol’s Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Police, and Fire departments. Thank you all for your creativity, hard work and dedication.
Thanks also to all the participating business owners for your donations and ornament sales that help us with the cost of the festival.
Finally, thank you to our town administrator, Steven Contente, for all his support and words of encouragement.
We are truly grateful to every one of you for putting the annual Bristol Christmas Festival on the map and supporting all of the local organizations and businesses involved. We look forward to having you
join us again next year.
I wish you all a happy, safe, and healthy New Year!
