Letter: Thank you for going above and beyond for our students

In addition to the great public schools we have here in Bristol and all the hard work the teachers are putting in for the students, I wanted to take a minute to also recognize Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School. My daughter is currently in Kindergarten; her teacher has been going above and beyond for the class in making sure the kids are adjusting well, continuing to learn and staying connected to her and their classmates (at the same time, tending to the needs of her own children who are also distance-learning).

The same holds true for the rest of the teachers/staff there. The principal holds a video-based Community Meeting every week with the school; the students are accustomed to doing this in person weekly; it’s great that she is keeping it going virtually so the children feel some sort of consistency in this time of great uncertainty.

As a parent, knowing that my child is getting the most out of her education at this unprecedented time in our history gives me back some peace of mind.

Great job, OLMC! Thank you for all that you do for our children.
