Our family purchased a home in Bristol in 2016 and became permanent residents in 2019. We settled on Bristol to spend our retirement because of the natural beauty, unparalleled history, but most importantly it is a welcoming community.

Over the last four years, each time we drove down Hope Street I would remark that I feel at home, a comforting feeling only a small town can provide. Over the past year as we assimilate into the community, we encounter folks who make us feel like we lived here all our lives.

And while we spent over 65 years living in New York, we proudly consider ourselves … Bristolians.
