This letter is in response to a letter in the Oct. 8 issue of the Phoenix, written by town council candidate Bethany Sousa Foster. Does she really think any person believes her justification to backing the Antifa/Black Lives Matter movement? Does she watch the daily riots and destruction of property by members of that movement?
And has she heard that these “protests” will continue after the election? The Democratic candidate for vice president has stated that.
We all are anti-fascists, as she states. Today’s Antifa gangs are Hitler’s “Brown Shirts” of
the 1930s. In their beginning, the “Brown Shirts” justified their persecution of the enemy
of the State (the Bolsheviks/fascists/socialists), saying they were all the cause of Germany’s
problems. The people believed the lies, and Hitler was elected Chancellor, then Fuhrer. World War II soon followed.
We all should learn from history.
If you are still proud to be an Antifa/BLM follower, then don't be ashamed to post its insignia on your social media websites.
