Our family would like to say thank you to the woman in the blue car who stopped and played a solo rendition of the National Anthem in front of the half-staffed flag at our home on Memorial Day shortly after noontime. Myself, my sister and our neighbors thanked her and applauded her thoughtfulness.
She replied with “Happy Memorial Day.” This tribute from a complete stranger means more to me than any organized event.
