Julia M. Araujo, 51, of Bristol, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the loving wife of Denise L. (Olsen) Araujo.

Born in Faial, she was the daughter of Julia Melo (DeCosta) Araujo of Bristol and the late Rui Araujo. Julia worked in retail management for various companies. She loved reading and fishing. 

In addition to her wife and mother, she leaves her loving step-children, Ashley Gilday of East Providence, Ashley Doyon of Woonsocket, Jessie Doyon of Cumberland, Emily Sheehan, Zachary Sheehan and Sage Gilday. She was the loving sister of Rui J. Araujo and his wife Jami of Rehoboth, Mass., and the aunt of Kelsey, Hannah and Angelina Araujo, all of Rehoboth. 
Her funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 5, 8 a.m., from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.vCalling hours will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m.
