Joseph Manuel Faria, 71, of Bristol

Joseph Manuel Faria, 71, of Goulart Avenue, Bristol,  passed away on Dec. 13, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Maria Gloria (Dias) Faria.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Tavares Faria and Maria dosAnjos Faria. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Joseph J. Faria of Rehoboth, Mass., Jason DeCosta and his wife Cynthia of Bristol; Lina Oliveira of Bristol; and Jonathan Faria of Bristol; grandchildren Colby Faria, Joseph Faria, Jeffrey Faria and Aja Watson; and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Eduarda Aguiar, Manuel Faria, Alexandrina Martins and the late Fernando Faria.

Mr. Faria was educated in Bristol and self employed as a contractor for 30 years before retiring.

His funeral services were held on Dec. 22 from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St Elizabeth Church.
