Joao Carlos Botelho, 71, of Easterbrooks Avenue, Bristol, passed away on Feb. 7, 2022, at Waterview Villa. He was the husband of the late Maria dos Anjos (Cabral) Botelho.
Born in Agua do Pau, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Margarida (Vieira) Botelho. He is survived by his children: Tony Botelho and his wife Christina; Lubelia Dunbar; Al Botelho and his wife Alexandria; Verb Botelho; Carla Register and her husband Nathan; and grandchildren: Stephanie Botelho, Vanessa Botelho, Tony Botelho Jr, Michelle Dunbar, Victoria Dunbar, Alec Botelho, Alexa Botelho, Shawntel Botelho, Mya Botelho, Kennedy Botelho and Katalina Register. He was the brother of Maria de Jesus Almeida.
Mr. Botelho was educated in Portugal and employed as a foreman for Mt. Hope Builders before retiring.
His funeral services were held Feb. 9, from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. www.limafh.com
