James A. Ferioli, 75, Bristol

James A. Ferioli, DDS, 75, of Bristol, died Saturday at RI Hospital. He was the husband of Judith (White) Ferioli; they were married for more than 53 years.

Dr. Ferioli was born in Milford, Mass., a son of the late Albert and Delia (Carr) Ferioli. Mr. Ferioli was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving as a lieutenant in the Dental Corps. He was a self-employed dentist with a practice in Lincoln, for more than 46 years, before retiring 10 years ago.

He lived in Bristol since 1968, having come from Medway, Mass., was a member of the Bristol Elks, and enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing. He was very family oriented, spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Lisa Gamache and her husband Tom of Mattapoisett Mass., Paul Ferioli and his wife Christine of Greene, and Lynn Ferioli and Kenny of Bristol. He was the brother of Mary Bottachiari, of Medway, Mass. Dr. Ferioli was the grandfather of Jimmy, Jared, Jason, Jenna, Lyndon, Aaron, Nathan and Britney, and great grandfather of Jaida and L J. He was also the uncle of Erica, Kerri, Kevin, PJ, Kristen, Brent and Amanda, and the father of the late Brian Ferioli.

His services will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
