The Herreshoff Marine Museum will be hosting an unforgettable summer of music, every Thursday from July 13 to Aug. 31, under the tent on the HMM waterfront, from 6 to 8 p.m., rain or shine.

Guests can bring their own lawn chairs, or take advantage of the tables, chairs, and picnic tables provided on site. You can even bring your own food and drinks, or visit the caterers and food trucks that will be available at all shows.

Neal & The Vipers, hailing from Warren, will be kicking off the Series on July 13. Masters of American Roots Music, blending blues, rock & roll, rockabilly, and surf genres into a high-energy musical experience, their performances are known to captivate audiences everywhere.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
