Corey G. Chrisman, 49, of Barrington, RI passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. A son of David and Georgia (Price) Chrisman, Corey spent his childhood in Cincinnati before moving to Massachusetts in 1988 and finally settling in Rhode Island in 2012.
Corey was known as a great guy and always the life of the party who loved to make people laugh. He was a Jack of all Trades and could figure out how to fix just about anything or do any task that needed to be done. He was a hard-working man and would always be there to lend a hand to anyone. He managed Mount Hope Farm in Bristol for several years. In his free time, Corey loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and, for a time, beekeeping. He was an excellent cook, grill master and meat smoker, and enjoyed spending time cooking for friends and family. Most of all, Corey loved his family, friends and those he considered family and would spend as much time with them as possible.
In addition to his parents, David and Georgia, Corey is survived by his three sons, Tyler Chrisman of Weymouth, MA, Austin Chrisman of Riverside, RI and Garrett Chrisman of Wareham, MA; his daughter, Anna Chrisman of Wareham, MA; his loving girlfriend, Heather Frerichs and her children, Emma and Thomas Frerichs of Barrington; his two brothers, Todd Chrisman and his wife Amanda of Shapleigh, ME and Sean Chrisman and his wife Rachel of Marshfield, MA; and his nieces, Lillian and Violet Chrisman.
Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI, where the family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, from 3 to 7 p.m. For directions or tributes, please visit www.wjsmithfh.com
