Bristol PD: Police make two domestic violence arrests

Monday, Jan. 9
Police spoke with construction workers at 9:50 a.m. whose vehicles had reportedly been blocking an area near Metacom Avenue and Chestnut Street in a daily occurrence. They agreed to move the vehicles.

An injured deer was reported on Sandra Court at 3:52 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 10
A man was dispersed from the area of Catherine and Prospect Streets at 12:25 a.m. after it was reported he was arguing with another man in a vehicle while standing in the roadway.

A report of a fraudulent check being cashed was logged at 12:16 p.m. on Hope Street.

A Wood Street resident requested to speak with an officer about items stolen from their vehicle at 11:27 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 11
Police advised a man who was yelling on a phone on Bradford Street at 9:35 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 12
Police issued a no trespass order to a person at 11:33 a.m. regarding the Dunkin Donuts on Metacom Avenue.

Police investigated damage to a front door on Catherine Street at 12:08 p.m. They reported it may have been from a projectile of some kind.

Friday, Jan. 13
Police spoke with a man at 7:07 a.m. who was reportedly pushing a couch on a dolly. They learned he was not going to dump the couch but was taking it home.

A vehicle had its windshield smashed by something flying up from the roadway near Metacom Avenue and Michael Drive at 7:25 a.m.

Police received a report that someone was yelling out the window of their car at passing students on Chestnut Street at 8:03 a.m.

Ronald Costa, 70, of Bristol, was arrested on Albion Street at 5:06 p.m. He was charged with domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense), domestic violence (assault on a person over 60 causing bodily injury), domestic assault by strangulation, and an active Superior Court bench warrant. He was transported to the ACI later that day.

Saturday, Jan. 14
Police dispersed an unwanted party from St. Elizabeth Street at 11:54 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 15
The Bristol Fire Department aided in stopping a gas leak inside a residence on North Lane at 12:24 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 16
Jade Ashley McBride, 24, of Bristol, was arrested on Court Street at 1:55 a.m. following a disturbance. She was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). She was arraigned.
