The Beehive Café on Franklin Street is known as a popular spot for breakfast and lunch, but they're also open for dinner service until 9 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. For years they have been operating with a class B limited liquor license, which allows service of beer and wine. Now they are hoping to expand that service to spirits.
In order to make that happen, the Bristol Town Council will need to amend Chapter 17 of the Ordinances of the Town of Bristol, which currently calls for a maximum of 29 class B licenses and 6 class B limited licenses. In order to keep the overall number of licenses the same, the proposal, which will be heard at the town council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m., will call for the addition of one class B license and the elimination of one class B limited license.
