In Raynham, Barbara (Nichols) Morey, who loved to be called Mumma by her grandchildren, departed her loving family on Aug. 12, 2021.

Barbara was born in Taunton, Mass., on Sept. 23, 1930, to the late Claire (McManmon) and Thomas Nichols. She was the sister of the late Edward and Robert Nichols and the late Marjorie (Nichols) Gilbert.

Barbara was the mother to Thomas Morey and his wife, Lynne, of Taunton, Claire Rague and her late husband, Karl, of Taunton, Janet Nadeau of North Dighton, Christopher Morey and his wife, Marian, of Bristol, R.I. and Jill Morey Feingold of Bristol, R.I. Following Gilbert’s passing, she moved to Pacific Grove, Calif., where she lived for several years. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
