Artemizia “Jenny” (Cordeiro) Medeiros, 92, passed away on April 26, 2021, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Medeiros.
Born in Bristol, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Artemizia (Sousa) Cordeiro. She was the mother of Catherine Medeiros of East Providence and the late Russell Medeiros; and grandmother of Nicholas Sardinha and Rachael Sardinha. She was the sister of Theresa Kruger, Laura Ochs, Virginia Cordeiro, Lorraine Calouro and the late Mary Pendleton, Dorothy Cordeiro, Elizabeth “Betty” Stedham, Arthur Cordeiro, Manuel “Shorty” Cordeiro, Joseph Cordeiro, Anthony Cordeiro, John Cordeiro and Frank Cordeiro.
Mrs. Medeiros was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was employed as a school aide for the Bristol School Department.
Her funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
