Alan J. Perry, 65, of Bristol

Mr. Alan J. Perry, age 65, of San Miquel Drive, Bristol, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018. at his home. He was the husband of Lynn A. (Drolet) Perry, his wife of 47 years.

Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was a son of the late Michael and Albertina (Moreira) Perry, Sr. Alan was a self-employed contractor, the owner and operator of A.J.P. General Contractor in Bristol for over 35 years, retiring in 2013. He previously worked for five years for the Bristol County Water Authority.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol, he loved skiing, bowling and was a member of numerous leagues at the Holliday Lanes in Somerset, Mass. He was a member of the Bristol County Lodge of Elks.

Alan loved spending time with his family, his wife, his daughters and especially attending and supporting his grandchildren in their sports endeavors. He is survived in addition to his wife, Lynn by two daughters, Diane M. Nappi (David) of Bristol and Denise M. Towsley (Gregg) of Manhattan Beach, Calif; four grandchildren, Samantha, Cam, Sayler and Morgan; and siblings, Raymond K. Perry (Maria) of Warren and Linda Ann Aubin (Ed) of Swansea, Mass. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Perry, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will be private, and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
