Elizabeth M. (Campbell) Curry, age 60, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of William Curry, to whom she had been married 32 years. They met one summer while Liz was vacationing in Newport, where Bill happened to be stationed with the Navy. Liz was a Navy wife for over 22 years and was very proud to be. She had a very strong but lovable personality, made friends no matter where she went, and made everyone feel welcome. She especially love working with children and they loved having Miss Liz around them.
Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Samson) Campbell.
Liz was a Teacher’s Aide for the Bristol and Warren School Department for over 20 years. Proud of her Scottish heritage, Liz enjoyed researching her family history, which lead to her discovering Ancestry.com.
Besides her devoted husband, Liz is survived by her son, Alexander Curry of Medford, Mass.; one grandson, Hudson Curry; two siblings, Patricia Anthony and her husband Deryck of Bristol and Iain Campbell and his wife Karen of Scotland; one nephew, Michael Anthony and his wife Cassie Lyne of Rehoboth, Mass. and one great-nephew, Malik Anthony. Liz was the aunt of the late Bryan Anthony.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation prior from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Liz’s honor may be made to the Bristol Animal Shelter, 395 Metacom Ave, Bristol, RI 02809.
