Barrington Police search for shoplifter who stole baby formula

An employee at the Shaw’s Supermarket in the Barrington Shopping Center called Barrington Police on Tuesday, June 16, to report a shoplifting incident. 

The employee told police a man stole eight cans of baby formula. The employee told police the suspect was a white male with dark spiked hair, wearing black shorts and a black shirt. According to the police dispatch report, the shoplifter pushed a store manager while leaving. 

Police searched the area around the market, and also searched up and down the bike path, but could not find the man. 

Police said the baby formula was valued at $40 per can.
