St. Andrew’s School recently announced the appointment of Benjamin White ’08 as the new president of the board of trustees. White’s tenure begins this month, along with a new slate of officers who will help lead St. Andrew’s in advancing its mission and vision.
“This is an exciting moment for St. Andrew’s,” said St. Andrew’s Head of School David Tinagero. “The appointment of Ben as president brings great strategic leadership and depth to our board. His experience as an alumnus and longtime volunteer provides valuable insight into what matters most at our school.”
White currently serves as president of Taco Family of Companies, a Rhode Island-based manufacturing organization with more than a century of history in the state. Deeply engaged in the Rhode Island community, he serves as vice chair of the White Family Foundation where he supports philanthropic initiatives focused on advancing the arts, education, and healthcare.
White is a former trustee of Wheaton College and a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island’s 2025 Phi II Class. He has served on the St. Andrew’s Board of Trustees since 2016 and as vice president since 2019, while providing leadership and support across a number of board committees. White resides in Barrington with his wife and their two children.
“This appointment means a great deal to me,” said White. “St. Andrew’s has been a meaningful part of my life since my time as a student. Over the years, first as an alumnus and now as a trustee, my appreciation for this community and all that makes it unique has only grown. I’m honored to help build our path forward on the remarkable foundation generations of Saints have created.”
Other transitions in board leadership include Eric Mack as vice president, Janet Fogarty as secretary, and Joe Farmer as treasurer.
