The Barrington Little League 9U All Star softball team arrived ready to play on Thursday night, earning an impressive 12–6 victory over the East Providence Tourney Team.

Barrington jumped out quickly, scoring three runs in each of the first two innings to take an early 6–1 lead. After adding another run in the third, the Eagles broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning, giving them 12 runs on the night.

Olivia Watts had a huge game for the Eagles. At the plate, she went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a walk, and a run scored. She also handled the entire game in the circle, throwing five innings of no-hit softball and striking out 13 batters to earn the win. She battled through 10 walks but kept East Providence from recording a single hit.

Mia Coppolino added a hit, an RBI, two runs scored and four stolen bases, while Anna Elliott recorded a hit and scored twice. The Eagles were aggressive on the bases all night, piling up stolen bases and constantly putting pressure on the East Providence defense.

Barrington’s defense also helped the cause, committing just one error, while East Providence finished with three.
