Nina Peckham Young, 89, Little Compton

Nina Peckham Young, of Little Compton, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on October 12, 2022, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late Wesley E. Young of 50 years.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ferol (Johnson) Peckham of FerolBink Farm in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Before becoming a permanent resident of Little Compton in 1998, she lived in Concord, Mass., for 37 years. She attended Northfield-Mount-Hermon School and Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., graduating in 1955.

Nina is survived by a son, Tyler P. Young and his wife Karla of Little Compton, and a daughter, Melanie K. Young of Boulder, Colorado; three granddaughters, Emma M. Donaldson of Australia (Christopher Donaldson, MD), Hattie M. Young and Sarah K. Young; two great-granddaughters, Penelope and Isla Donaldson; two sisters, Janice Chace and Rachel Elder, both of Tiverton; a brother, Peter Peckham of Tiverton and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home in Fall River.
