Marjorie A. Hilton, 87 of Marco Island, Florida, and Little Compton, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Hilton Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Medeiros and her husband Donald of Little Compton, Kenneth R Hilton III and his wife Denise, and James E. Hilton and his wife Nancy of Tiverton; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Marge graduated from NY school of Photography. She worked as a photographer, and for a short time in sales. As an owner of Standish Boat Yard, she spent her work days fueling boats on the gas dock. It was her delight to chat with her customers and really get to know them.
She loved being on her boat, fishing, and spending time with family. She was a boat captain using her skills to navigate for charter boats. She enjoyed many years of cruising with her husband, once traveling 30 days aboard ship. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile raising funds to benefit the Shriner's Hospitals.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 10, at 11 a.m. at the United Congregational Church, the Commons, Little Compton. In lieu of flowers, Princess Marge wishes for you to make a donation to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation. Please send donations to: Tabitha Temple 135, 9755 Cattail Court, Ft Myers, FL 33905
