Genevieve A. Barboza, 88, Tiverton

Genevieve A. Barboza passed away on January 26, 2021, at Grace Barker Health at age 88.  She was the wife of the late James Barboza to whom she was married since 1952.  

Born and raised in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Dupont and Mary (Viera) Dupont.  She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Viveiros, Rose Aguiar, and Almeda Dupont, and her brothers, Frank Dupont, John Dupont and Joseph Dupont.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator in the garment industry for many years.

She was a devout Catholic and was a longtime communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Grace Barker Health for their loving care.  She loved the music and the activities they provided.  A thanks also goes to Continuum Care Hospice for their loving care. Donations may be made in Genevieve’s memory to:  Grace Barker Health Activities 54 Barker St., Warren, R.I.  02885

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 10 am at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.

Private Arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton.
