The 121st annual Warren Firemen’s Memorial Parade and commemoration event will be held this Sunday, June 11.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. with a mass at St. Mary’s Church, and then the parade will kick off at 11 a.m. from the fire department headquarters on Joyce Street. Firefighters, EMTs, and the Mt. Hope Marching Band will be joined by various apparatus and town officials for the parade.
The parade will proceed north on Main Street to Water Street, where it will proceed south towards State Street before concluding on the Town Common for a ceremony honoring three former members of the department who have since passed away.
The three firefighters being memorialized are: Albert Disano (Engine 2); Kevin Martel (Engine 5), and Ernie Miner (Former Engine 4).
“We’re hoping to have lots of people show up in support and to recognize the dedicated volunteers of the Warren Fire Department,” said Chief James Sousa.
