The recent story of the Portsmouth High School intruder indicated portions of the police report were redacted. Why?
It was an incident that had amplification from many on-scene witnesses and most of the details were not kept secret.
Actually, I am more upset that the intruder was released to his mother for transportation to Butler Hospital and not taken by the police. That received little commentary. Would that have been the case for a foreign resident intruder with a knife under the same circumstances?
Assault upon a teacher by an armed individual should be regarded as very serious incident and not turned over to a mother for follow-up action.
At least we were spared from reading that Marcus Schlip was the “alleged” attacker.
