Gas prices in Rhode Island are unchanged this week, averaging $2.18 a gallon across the state for the second straight week, according to AAA Northeast.
The $2.18 price is three cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.21. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 7 cents higher at $2.25.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 17 cents, from a low of $2.08 to a high of $2.25, the motor club announced. Mid-grade gas averaged $2.45 a gallon ($2.34-$2.69); premium averaged $2.66 ($2.52-$2.79); diesel averaged $2.39 (($2.27-$2.45).
