A hard-hitting storm dumped inches of rain on Barrington and the rest of the region on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Jan. 9 and 10.
The storm combined with a significant high-tide to flood out many low-lying areas in town, including sections of Mathewson Road where a resident snapped a photo of a Barrington school bus trying to make its morning pickups. According to residents in that area, the bus became stuck and students were eventually moved onto another bus.
Other areas in town showed evidence of the previous night's storm — mostly downed branches and massive puddles.
