Want to learn more about the proposed school construction projects? Check out tonight's meeting.

The Barrington School Building Committee is hosting a series of community meetings that will offer all residents an opportunity to learn about the proposed construction. The first community meeting will take place tonight, Sept. 20.

Officials said the construction is intended to address space and security deficiencies at Barrington schools, as well as the growing student population and 21st-century learning needs.

Each meeting will include a short presentation from Tecton Architects and a community discussion. All the meetings will be held at Barrington Middle School.

• First meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.

• Second meeting: Thursday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.

• Third meeting: Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m.

• Fourth meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Events are open to all Barrington community members. People are encouraged to attend the meeting date that best fits their schedule. For those who are unable to attend in person, all meetings will be live-streamed and recordings will be made available to watch on replay.
