Barrington Yacht Club will host the 38th Annual Bud Humphrey Memorial Race on Sunday, Sept. 25.
The race, always among the upper bay’s favorites, is an around-Prudence Island (counterclockwise) pursuit competition with staggered starts near Ohio Ledge based on each boat's non-spinnaker PHRF-NB rating. The fastest boats start as much as an hour after some of the more leisurely entrants.
Friends and family are encouraged to participate and awards are presented to the top three finishers.
There will be a reception at the Barrington Yacht Club immediately following the race.
Sailing instructions and entry form are available at the Barrington Yacht Club website www.BarringtonYC.com.
