Large crowd turns out for Barrington Little League event

Barrington resident and NY Mets pitcher David Robertson shared some tips with local boys and girls during a special Barrington Little League preseason skills clinic on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 22.

A large group of local Little Leaguers attended the event, which was held at TeamWorks in Seekonk. 

Robertson will pitch for the New York Mets this season. In 2022, the veteran ballplayer pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
