Virtual Town Hall with Sen. Whitehouse postponed
A special virtual Town Hall with U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has been postponed until the fall. The event had been planned for Wednesday, June 17 with the towns of Barrington and Warren, but late last week officials announced the postponement. It is not clear why the event was postponed. Sen. Whitehouse had been expected to address Warren and Barrington residents' questions on the coronavirus relief effort and other federal issues. Barrington Town Manager Jim Cunha and Warren Town Manager Kate Michaud were co-hosting the event.
Another million dollar home sale in Barrington
Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty recently announced the sale of a a Cedar Avenue home for $1,175,000. According to data available from Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service, this is the sixth highest sale in Barrington this year. Agents of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty also represented clients in four of the top ten sales in the town this year. The Cedar Avenue home was originally built in 1817 and was expanded in a 2012 renovation. It is now more than 4,000 square feet, and includes five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
