Barrington Police are investigating a shoplifting that occurred at the Shaw’s Supermarket in the Barrington Shopping Center on Monday, Sept. 14.

Police received a call from a Shaw’s employee at about 8 p.m. The employee told police a man with curly gray hair, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt stole approximately $300 worth of meat products from the store. The employee said the shoplifter placed the meat into a reusable grocery bag and then left the store.

Police said witnesses saw the suspect flee the scene on a bicycle, but police did not know in which direction he traveled. Police are investigating.
