To the editor:
Honorable Council Members, in writing I want to share my frustration with your lack of response to my advocating for House Bill 7614, that was again this year's bill to correct language to RIGL 44-33-3. My request to have the council provide a support letter failed to materialize, after my several contacts with the town clerk and council president. As this request was a Yay or Nay, the council took no action when it appeared in communications on your agenda.
This purpose of this support letter was to address the discrimination this law is doing excluding disabled veterans from taking the Property Tax Relief authorized by this law. In my opinion you turned your backs on all disabled veterans here in RI and in Barrington by doing nothing. Sounds like you're following the foot steps of President Trump and bashing veterans. Shame on you all.
Thank you,
David Silvia
