Works crews returned to Nayatt Road in Barrington this week.
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation recently announced that the contractor handling the Nayatt Road Improvement project was remobilizing this week, following the winter shutdown.
According to a press release from the DOT, curbing will be installed and there will also be work on the new drainage structures for the road.
"During the week, construction activities will be completed at various points along the work zone which will require alternating one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Washington Road to Rumstick Road," stated the press release. "Motorists should drive slowly and be alert for flaggers and police details."
The DOT is also focused on two other projects in Barrington: Barneyville Road off Sowams is being milled and crews are also conducting a preservation project on the "Nayatt Bridge" on Washington Road.
