Hampden Meadows Schools bringing Heroes vs. Villains to life

Arts Alive play takes the stage June 17 and 18

Arts Alive! recently announced that Hampden Meadows School students will have an epic return to the stage as they launch the spring play: Heroes vs Villains.

Hampden Meadows School has not been able to put on a play in the school for the last two years.

“While we have been working with Covid restrictions, we applaud the resiliency and dedication of these kids who will do whatever it takes to get back on stage and do what they love,” said Dena Davis, of Arts Alive Barrington. “We know how important the Arts are for many students who need creativity and interaction, not only because it is fun, but also because we know it is vital for social and emotional wellness. We hope the community will come out to support the HMS in this hilarious production-you are in for a few surprises!”

Heroes vs. Villains features classic characters going head-to-head to battle it out and prove, once and for all, who claims the crown as the most important in literature, plays and of course, Broadway!…the Hero or the Villain.

“There are no boundaries here – we will explore Broadway Musicals, from classic to contemporary, in search of the winner,” stated a press release. “Get ready to laugh, cry (and be terrified) by a cast of colorful characters who will do anything to win your vote!”

Performances of Heroes vs Villains will be held on Friday, June 17, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 18 at 1 p.m. at Barrington High School. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will be available online at www.artsalivebarrington.org as well as at the door (cash only) before each performance. COVID protocols at the performances: Arts Alive! will be asking all audience members to adhere to BPS COVID-19 protocols during performances.
