Former Barrington resident, Edmond Burke Nugent, 89, a dear, sweet, loving and sentimental man with an ever present sense of humor, died peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his home in Beverly, Mass. following a brief decline.
Born April 25, 1927, Toledo, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (McBride Berman) Nugent. He is survived by his sister, Mary Nugent Gehring, of Louisville, Ky. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Jean (Cash) Nugent, the mother of his 7 children.
Ed was an avid boater and fisherman. His friends, children, sons-in-law and grandchildren have many happy memories of boating with "The Gipper" from Striper Marina out to Narragansett Bay, Potter's Cove and Block Island.
He will be sorely missed by his 6 daughters; Terrill Renwick, Carol Willauer, Nancy Cook, Kathleen Nichols, Julie Gordon, Laurie Nugent and his son, Ned Nugent, and 2 step-sons, Paul and Robert Berman; his 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.
