Two Barrington High School student-athletes recently received Hobey Baker High School Character Awards.
Johnny Lombardi, a member of the BHS boys hockey team, and Maddie Cox, a member of the East Bay Co-op girls hockey team, earned the awards for displaying "the spirit, sportsmanship and character represented by the collegiate award through their attitude, work ethic, unselfish play, integrity, coachability, scholastic achievement and community service."
The prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate ice hockey player.
