Doughnuts slide off dashboard and startle motorist

Barrington Police responded to an accident at the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on County Road on Saturday, Oct. 19, at about 12:45 p.m.

A female motorist told police she was driving her car out of the lot when a box of doughnuts she placed on the dashboard slid off and startled her, leading her to hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The woman's vehicle then struck another vehicle. No one was injured.
