Barrington police responded to the town beach on Wednesday, July 20, after people complained of a man harassing beach patrons.
Witnesses there said the man had been taking pictures of people who he felt were breaking the rules of the beach. The man reportedly hollered at a woman who was walking some dogs at the beach.
The man denied yelling at the woman, but a witness confirmed that he had been yelling and swearing at people.
Police are reminding residents that they are not allowed to walk dogs at the beach while the beach is open — between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Police are also reminding residents to pick up after their dogs.
