Barrington dominated Tolman, 15-2, in front of a packed homecoming crowd at Victory Field on Friday night.

The win was the first of the season for the Eagles, boosting their record to 1-3 in Division I and 1-5 overall.

Eagles quarterback Liam McManus scored on a five-yard run to give Barrington a 6-0 lead. McManus faked a handoff then scooted through the left side and bulled his way past two Tolman tacklers for the score. Barrington went for two and scored to make the score 8-0. 

Tolman scored their only points of the game when they sacked McManus in the end zone for a safety making the score 8-2 at the half. 

Junior running back and defensive back Evan Pomfret had a big game for the Eagles. On defense, Pomfret had two interceptions, in both cases stopping potential scoring drives for Tolman.

On offense, Pomfret scored a touchdown in the second half, on a run from inside the 10-yard line. Pomfret took a hand-off from McManus and scored running up the middle as teammates pulled him into the end zone to make the score 14-2. The extra point put the score at 15-2. Pomfret had two big runs during the drive, in both cases running around the end for big gains.
