TIVERTON — One heavily used Ford F350 plow truck, a pair of lightly used commercial grade convection ovens, a couple of wood shop table saws, a thickness planer and much more will be up for sale when the Tiverton School Department hosts a yard sale this Thursday, Aug. 9, in the high school parking lot, 100 North Brayton Road.
Official hours are 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. but there are no rules discouraging early birds.
Michael Mendes, director of maintenance for the schools, said the goal is to clear out a rented storage unit full of no longer needed stuff, thus saving the town $1,000 a month.
Most of the items are believed to be in working order (some more than others) and everything is offered in ‘as is’ condition.
Some of the equipment became available due to school building and renovation projects at Fort Barton and Ranger schools. Other things are simply outdated or not needed.
