Bristol officers make busts for DUI, parties, drinking

Bristol police officers broke up a house party that led to four arrests, nabbed two women for allegedly driving drunk, and charged a young adult with urinating in public. Following is a synopsis of police activity in Bristol from Feb. 5 to 11.

Monday, Feb. 5

  • A school bus driver stopped in the lobby of the police station to report a motorist who drove through a school bus stop sign.
  • A resident on Bradford Street reported Social Security fraud.
  • An officer responded to Cedar Drive and escorted a man to the nearest bus stop.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

  • A resident complained of noise on Easterbrooks Avenue at 10:33 p.m.
  • A patrolman investigated suspicious activity at High and Bradford streets at 10:46 p.m. It turned out to be a man who lives in the area sitting in his car.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

  • Someone reported a suspicious black BMW parked at the corner of Gibson and Ledge roads at 3:26 p.m., but it was gone before an officer arrived.

Thursday, Feb. 8

  • A resident on Redic Court complained of harassment at 5:13 p.m.
  • An officer dispersed two people in a vehicle parked at the Mt. Hope boat ramp of Annawamscutt Road at 8:56 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 9

  • Brett Sparaco, 21, of Westbrook, Conn., was charged with disorderly conduct-urinating in public at 12:41 a.m. near the intersection of State and Thames streets.
  • Denise Cindy Racinski, 55, of 79 Harris Ave., Warren, was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 1:35 a.m. on Gooding Avenue.
  • A stray dog was removed from the CVS store on Metacom Avenue at 2:37 p.m.
  • A suspicious black SUV was reported on Valley Drive at 10:14 p.m. It was gone before officers arrived.
  • A resident complained of loud music at the Almeida Court apartments on Bay View Avenue at 11:10 p.m.
  • A patrolman dispersed a vehicle and its occupants from the State Street dock at 11:46 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 10

  • Virginia Sue Tavares, 59, of 22 Pennsylvania Ave., Warren, was charge with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 12:24 a.m. on Metacom Avenue.
  • Officers responded and took a report of a domestic disturbance on Perry Street at 7:11 a.m. They sent out an alert to be on the lookout for someone (see below).
  • A resident reported a suspicious vehicle on Sherry Avenue at 8:08 a.m. It was gone before officers arrived.
  • A Michael Drive resident called police to report two suspicious women at 11:41 a.m. An officer responded and found that the women were waiting for an Uber ride.
  • Domenic A. Moscarelli, 41, of 75 Perry St., Bristol, was charged with domestic assault and domestic vandalism at 4:30 p.m.
  • Adelbert Lawrence Hallisey, 20, of New Britain, Conn., was charged with misrepresentation by someone under 21 at 6 p.m. at 1776 Liquors.
  • Gabriel Reale, 18, of Fairfield, Conn., was charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol at 9:39 p.m.
  • A caller reported a suspicious man wearing a camouflage jacket at the Almeida Court apartments at 11:12 p.m. He was gone when officers arrived.
  • A patrolman dispersed a group of people from the area of Gladding Street at 11:30 p.m. He reported they were on their way to Almeida Court.
  • After officers responded to a house party on Cottage Street at 11:41 p.m., they arrested four people. Francis M. Stapleton, 20, of Dedham, Mass., was charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol, while Tristan C. Shepard, 20, of Marlborough, Mass., Nicholas J. Antico, 20, of Agawam, Mass., and Daniel Reale, 21, of Fairfield, Conn., were all charged with procurement of alcohol for minors and with violation of the town’s noise ordinance.

Sunday, Feb. 11

  • An officer responded to a landlord/tenant dispute on Massasoit Avenue at 10:53 a.m.
  • After officers were called to Mason Avenue to take a report on an argument involving two tenants at 11:07 a.m., they arrested Casey Molloy, 37, of 18 Mason Ave., Apt. 2, Bristol, on a Superior Court warrant.
